Questions before you buy

How do I get it after I pay?

Right after payment you'll land on a page with your link to the Vault and your PDF download. We'll also email them to you so you can come back anytime. It opens in your web browser on any phone, tablet or computer. Nothing to install.

Is this a subscription?

No. You pay once and you're never charged again. Future updates to Volume 1, including new vehicles, are included free.

Where do the values come from?

Published auction results (Mecum, Barrett-Jackson, Bring a Trailer, RM Sotheby's and others) and valuation guides such as Hagerty, as of the 2026 edition. The market moves, so check current values before buying a car. Nothing here is financial advice.

How do you know the stories are true?

Every entry lists its sources. Where they disagree, or a claim rests on one account, the entry says so ("reported", "accounts vary") instead of picking the better story.

Is it affiliated with the studios or carmakers?

No. The Hollywood Car Vault is an independent guide from Retro Reel Rides. The images are original illustrations, not photographs of the screen-used vehicles.

Know something we got wrong, or where a car is now?
